This recipe is so delicious and not too sweet. It would make a great dessert for Mother's day or any special occassion. Make it Fairtrade but using fairtrade ingredients were possible.
This recipe is easy to make, doesn't take too long and you get super results everytime.
Ingredients:
250g of unsalted butter
300g of fairtrade dark chocolate
300g of fairtrade caster sugar
4 eggs
175g of plain flour
250g of peanut butter
handful of salted peanuts
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180c
Line a baking tray or dish with baking parchment
In a saucepan, on a very low heat, melt the butter.
When starting to melt, add the dark chocolate and sugar and stir until it is all melted.
Once they have melted remove from the heat and allow to cook for 5-10 mins
Beat in the eggs to the chocolate mixture one at a time.
Sieve the flour and then stir it into the mixture.
Pour into the baking tray.
Slightly heat up the peanut butter in the microwave and pour on top of brownie mixture.
Using a knife, swirl the peanut butter into the top of the brownie mixture. Sprinkle the salted peanuts on top.
Bake for 30 mins or when the edges are baked and the middle is still a little jiggily.
Leave to completely cool before cutting into squares.
