Great in soups, stews, meat, seafood and as part of a bouquet garni along with thyme and parsley. 

 

Most of the Bay is produced in Turkey but it is also produced in other Mediterranean countries and other coutries with similar climates.

 

In recipes it may also be called Sweet Bay or Bay Laurel
